PLAYING CAREER: The former outfielder was selected by the Yankees in the 18th round of the June 1986 amateur draft...played 12 seasons in the Major Leagues with the Indians (1990-1991), Blue Jays (1991-1993), Brewers (1994-1996), Pirates (1997-1999), Diamondbacks (1999-2000) and Phillies (2001)...in 1992 and 1993 played for the Blue Jays' World Series championship teams...hit a pinch-hit, 2-run HR in Game 3 of the 1999 NL Division Series for Ari vs NYM...was playing RF for the Pirates vs the Dodgers on 5/3/98 at Three Rivers Stadium when the momentum of his leaping catch of Mike Piazza's fly ball carried him through the outfield wall.

PERSONAL: Graduated from Satsuma (AL) High School...attended the University of South Alabama in Mobile, where he was a teammate of 19-year veteran Major Leaguer Luis Gonzalez, and Faulkner State Junior College...was inducted into the Southern League Hall of Fame in 2015, the Mobile (AL) Sports Hall of Fame in 2007 and the Alabama Junior College Hall of Fame in 1996...in 2016 earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix...wife's name is Donna...they have 3 children, Tucker, Olin and Kendall...his son Tucker, a righthanded pitcher, was selected out of Louisiana Tech University by the Diamondbacks in the 40th round of the 2015 first-year player draft.
