D-backs to Host 15th Annual Hispanic Heritage Day this Saturday, presented by Budweiser

Festivities highlighted by Miguel Montero Bobblehead giveaway and Lucha Libre match on 4th Street

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks, @LosDbacks) will host their 15th Annual Hispanic Heritage Day, presented by Budweiser, to help kick off Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15-Oct. 15) this Saturday, Sept. 14 for a 5:10 p.m. game between the D-backs and Colorado Rockies.

Festivities for this Saturday will be highlighted by an APS Street Festival from 2-5 p.m., including music, food trucks and three Lucha Libre matches located at 4th Street and Jackson. The Lucha Libre match will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will feature the D-backs Luchador and members from Club Deportivo Coliseo.

The D-backs will give away 20,000 Miguel Montero Bobbleheads, courtesy of SUBWAY® Restaurants, as fans enter the stadium. In addition, there will be Folklorico dancers and Mariachi performers throughout the ballpark prior to the game. The D-backs will also give away a D-backs Luchador cape, courtesy of Chevrolet, to 5,000 kids this Sunday, Sept. 15.

D-backs players and coaches will wear their customary black jerseys with "Los D-backs" across the front for the sixth consecutive season. Following the game, the jerseys will be available for auction at dbacks.com/auctions with proceeds benefitting the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. Los D-backs merchandise, including hats and T-shirts will be available for purchase in the Chase Field Team Shop.

The D-backs will present Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost for the Maricopa Community College Maria Harper-Marinick, PhD, with the Hispanic Community Leadership Award for her advocacy, leadership and service to the Arizona community. Other pregame recognitions include leaders from Aguila Leadership Institute and Be A Leader Foundation for their contributions in the Hispanic community, specifically helping guide high school students to college. D-backs catcher Miguel Montero and Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation will also present a check for $50,000 to the Ronald McDonald House prior to the game.

Other participating partners for Hispanic Heritage Day include Arizona Lottery, Cox Communications, Chevrolet, ESPN Deportes, Mission Foods and Subway® Restaurants.
