D-backs' homer vs. Phils overturned on review

Hill's first-inning shot against Kendrick changed to double

PHOENIX -- D-backs second baseman Aaron Hill had a home run overturned by the umpires on Monday night after a video review showed the ball hit off the wall.

After Gerardo Parra led off the bottom of the first with a double to left off Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick, Hill followed with a drive down the left-field line that bounced off the wall.

Third-base umpire Angel Hernandez ruled the ball had hit the foul pole and was a home run. The Phillies disputed the call and after the umpires huddled, they decided to look at the replay.

The review was brief as the video showed the ball hit off the yellow padding just to the left of the 330-foot marking on padding a couple feet below the top of the wall.

Hill wound up with an RBI double on the play.

It was the 15th time the D-backs have had a home run call reviewed.
