Spring Training Info
Webb, who is recovering from shoulder surgery last August, has thrown eight bullpen sessions over the last month and a half and said Wednesday that he feels like he is "stagnant."Pain in the shoulder does not appear to be the issue for Webb right now, but it seems to be more a matter of letting the ball go without worrying about the shoulder. The club is hoping that by having him face hitters in a batting-practice situation next time he throws, it will amp up his intensity and allow him to cut loose. Initially it looked like that might happen Sunday or Monday, but Webb said that it will more likely be Tuesday or Wednesday. "Obviously I want to make them all, I want to pitch 235 innings, I want to do that," Webb said. "It's still reality, I think. It kind of depends on when I get into games here in Spring Training. Every day I'll see what I can do. I don't want to push it too much. So I don't think anybody knows and it's impossible to put dates or timelines on anything."
