PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today that they are teaming up with Pepsi, Aquafina, SoBe Life Water, Fry's Food Stores and KNIX and KMLE country radio stations to host a concert featuring new country music recording artist Jessica Simpson on Sept. 13 at Chase Field. The post-game concert will take place on the field following the 5:10 p.m. game against the Cincinnati Reds and is free with a ticket to that night's game.

Simpson's highly anticipated next album, Do You Know, is due out Sept. 9, four days prior to her post-game concert with the D-backs. For this album, Simpson is returning to her country roots and collaborated with top producers and country artists in Nashville. Her first single off the album, "Come On Over," debuted in late-June at No. 41 on Billboard's country chart, making it the highest-chart debut for a solo artist with no prior history on the country chart. This week, "Come On Over" has climbed to No. 18 on Billboard's country singles chart.

Simpson has taken the music, fashion, beauty and entertainment industries by storm and has become an international star and media darling. Born and raised in Dallas, Simpson began her performing career by sharing the stage with famous gospel acts such as Kirk Franklin, God's Property, and Ce Ce Winans. With her unmistakable voice and unique pop sound, Simpson caught the eye of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola. After joining a tour in support of the boy-band 98 Degrees, she quickly burst onto the music scene in 1999 with her debut release Sweet Kisses. Her RIAA-certified double platinum debut featured Simpson's massive breakthrough hit, "I Wanna Love You Forever," which hit No. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The title track of her 2001 follow-up album, Irresistible, was a crossover smash, reaching No. 3 on the Top 40 mainstream charts. The success of her quadruple-platinum album, In This Skin, in 2003 marked Simpson's debut as a songwriter and the album's first single, "Sweetest Sin," hit the Top 40. She has been praised by fans and recognized by critics with nominations for two American Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video.

Having made her mark in the music industry, Hollywood came knocking on Simpson's door. In addition to a recurring role on That 70's Show, Simpson's MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica launched in 2003, making her a household name. In 2005, Simpson made her film debut as Daisy Duke in the The Dukes of Hazzard and released a cover of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'" for the movie's soundtrack. The song topped Billboard's Hot Digital Tracks chart and was certified platinum. Simpson has also starred in Employee of the Month for Lions Gate Films, Sony Pictures' Blonde Ambition and Major Movie Star for Nu Image/Millennium Films. She has also graced the covers of many high-profile magazines, such as Rolling Stone, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, GQ, Marie Clair, Allure and Elle.

Fans can receive a complimentary upper level ticket to the D-backs' Sept. 13 game by using their Fry's V.I.P or D-backs Rewards card to purchase $15 of any participating products from the makers of Pepsi, Aquafina and SoBe Life Water at any Fry's Food Store throughout Arizona and then redeem their cash register receipt indicating the purchase. All cash register receipts must be redeemed at the Chase Field ticket office or Tucson Electric Park ticket office. Members already enrolled in the D-backs Rewards program with Fry's can redeem points to earn on-field VIP seating as well as a chance to meet Simpson prior to the concert. Fans listening to KNIX and KMLE can also win complimentary tickets to the game and passes to meet Simpson.
