With shovels in hand, representatives from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC), Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies officially broke ground at the site for the Community's new Spring Training baseball facility.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have added Matt Williams as first base coach and Bo Porter as third base coach while Glenn Sherlock agreed to remain with the club as the bullpen and catching coach for the 2010 season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies jointly announced today that they have hired David Dunne as Spring Training Operations Manager to oversee the operations of the teams' new spring training facility that will open on a 140-acre site near the Loop 101 freeway and Indian Bend Rd. in North Scottsdale in 2011. Dunne will be the official club liaison for the D-backs and Rockies in working with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
