    Chuck Smolka, a nine-year-old from Staten Island, NY, yesterday won the first-ever MLB Home Run Derby VR Tournament Championship, held as part of GEICO All-Star FanFest. Smolka, one of four kids younger than 12 years old to advance to the semifinals, defeated nine-year-old Cooper ('Coop') Stephenson from Anaheim, Calif., in a dramatic back-and-forth final round where both players held multiple leads and a last second home run decided the title.

    Six-time National League All-Star Bryce Harper of the host Washington Nationals and Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman, the top vote-getter in the NL, are among the eight participants in the 2018 T-Mobile Home Run Derby, it was announced tonight on ESPN. The 2018 T-Mobile Home Run Derby will be held on Monday, July 16th at Nationals Park in Washington, DC, and broadcast live by ESPN and beginning at 8:00 p.m. (ET).

  • Aguilar, Segura win 2018 Camping World All-Star Final Vote

    Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Jesús Aguilar and Seattle Mariners shortstop Jean Segura were voted by the fans as the winners of the 2018 Camping World All-Star Final Vote, it was announced earlier this evening on MLB Network's MLB Tonight. Aguilar and Segura earned the final roster spots on the National League and American League All-Star teams through online voting on, the 30 Club sites and mobile devices. Now in its 17th season, the All-Star Final Vote has recorded over 845 million votes.
