TUCSON, Ariz. -- D-backs outfielder Conor Jackson was out of the lineup for the third straight day Sunday due to what the club is calling a sore groin.

D-backs manager A.J. Hinch said he was not sure whether Jackson did it running the bases or playing the outfield, but that he woke up with it the other day. While he's been hitting, the team has kept him out of games and drills that involved running.

"A little banged up but no cause for concern," Hinch said. "No concern whatsoever; he'll play [Monday] night."

Jackson missed most of last season with valley fever, but has shown no ill effects from it this spring and has been healthy.

"I feel he could play today if it was the regular season," Hinch said. "But there's no reason to risk anything the last week."
