PHOENIX -- Spring Training is less than two weeks away and the D-backs, hoping to grab some of the Arizona sporting scene spotlight are holding their fifth annual Subway D-backs Fan Fest on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. MT.

The event, which is free, will feature autograph and photograph sessions, memorabilia and sports card sales and interactive games. One of the most popular features each year is the tour of the home clubhouse, which is not shown during regular ballpark tours throughout the year.

Select players and coaches will participate in autograph sessions that require a $5 donation to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation. Autograph session vouchers will go on sale at 9:30 a.m. at the Chase Field ticket office.

"Fan Fest has become an annual ritual for our fans," D-backs president and CEO Derrick Hall said. "It is the first glimpse at some new faces on the roster and the first glimpse at seats available. Our players and staff truly enjoy the interaction with our loyal fans, who have total access on the field and countless activities throughout the day."

Fans wishing to purchase season tickets can do so through the Select-A-Seat program, which will allow people to see the seats that are currently available.

Speaking of seats, Hall said the D-backs season-ticket renewal rate is just over 80 percent, lower than recent years, but not bad considering the current state of the economy.

There will be a large turnout of current and former players as well as broadcasters. As of last count there were 31 of them slated to be there and fans can check for updates at dbacks.com/fanfest.

Tony Clark, Doug Davis, Stephen Drew, Dan Haren, Conor Jackson, Felipe Lopez, Miguel Montero, Augie Ojeda, Chad Qualls, Mark Reynolds, Max Scherzer, Chris Snyder, Chad Tracy, Justin Upton and Chris Young are the players scheduled to appear.

Manger Bob Melvin will also be there along with bench coach Kirk Gibson, third-base coach Chip Hale, pitching coach Bryan Price and bullpen coach Glenn Sherlock. D-backs alumni Jay Bell, Matt Williams, Reggie Sanders, Omar Daal and Kelly Stinnett, along with broadcasters Daron Sutton, Mark Grace, Greg Schulte, Tom Candiotti, Jeff Munn, and Miguel Quintana have also said they will be there.

One player who would like to be there is Brandon Webb. The ace of the pitching staff is back home in Ashland, Ky., where he and his wife Alicia are expecting their second child. With reporting day exactly a week after Fan Fest, Webb did not feel comfortable leaving Alicia.

"I sure would have liked to have been there for it," said Webb, who will drive the family in a rented RV across the country next week. "It's fun to see the fans, but they know that I always try to sign autographs whenever I can and I look forward to making it up to them during Spring Training."

Sports 620 KTAR will broadcast from the event live and will offer fans the chance to call their own plays in the KTAR "You Make the Call" play-by-play booth. Fans can also stop by the FOX Sports Arizona booth for an opportunity to be on television during the 2009 baseball season by taking part in the network's 2009 "Be A Fan" promotional advertising campaign shoot.  In addition, kids 8-14 years old can become eligible to become a FOX Sports Arizona Kidkaster this year by taping their video essay at the network's booth.
