PHOENIX -- As the rumors continue to swirl about a possible trade involving Curt Schilling going to the Yankees, the right-hander refused to completely rule out the possibility, but one of his former teammates said there was no chance of Schilling being in Yankee pinstripes next season.

"I know he doesn't want to go to the Yankees," former D-Backs first baseman Mark Grace said Saturday night before he and Schilling attended a celebrity roast for Arizona owner Jerry Colangelo. "I'll put an end to that right now. He's not going. He's got a no-trade clause. You don't have to ask him, I'm going to answer it: He's not going. Seriously, he doesn't want to pitch in the American League. I know this. He's my neighbor. Trust me, he's not going to the Yankees."

There were published reports over the past few days that said the Yankees covet Schilling and that the Diamondbacks were willing to part with their co-ace. Schilling, though, has a full no-trade clause and would have to approve any deal.
