528Babineau, RyanUC Los AngelesCR/R6'02"2101986-12-13JR400K
Comments: Teams looking for good defense behind the plate surely know all about Babineau, one of the better catch-and-throw guys in the Draft class. Though he's improved offensively, the bat lags behind the defensive tools. He looks like a guy who could use his defense and leadership to become a solid backup catcher at the big-league level, a guy who'll shut down the running game and maybe give you a .250 average and 10 homers annually.

168Cowgill, CollinU KentuckyCFR/L5'09"1951986-05-22SR400K
Comments: Cowgill is one of those college outfielders whose performance surpasses how his tools grade out. He's got a good hitting approach, but scouts don't expect him to hit for power in the future. He most likely profiles best as a fourth-outfielder type, the kind of guy who could fill in every day in center, but wouldn't be seen as a long-term solution. After turning down the A's (29th round) last year, he's certainly improved his Draft status this year.

26Schlereth, DanielU ArizonaLHPL/L6'00"2101986-05-09SR400K
Comments: Schlereth was drafted in the eighth round last year by the A's, but chose to return to Arizona. He's got three decent offerings, though he struggles at times with commanding them. He misses a lot of bats, but he also will pile up walks at times. He's got a football mentality on the mound, courtesy of his father, former NFLer Mark, and could be the kind of left-handed setup man who gets to the bigs quickly.
