The University of Houston finishes undefeated at Houston College Classic

HOUSTON, TX -- The three-day Houston College Classic baseball tournament (March 5-7) concluded tonight at Minute Maid Park, with the University of Houston taking home the best record (3-0) of all Classic participants.

Houston opened the weekend with consecutive shutouts over Missouri and Texas, before beating Texas Tech, 15-8, in today's afternoon game. This marks the first time Houston has gone undefeated in the Classic. Texas (No. 3), TCU (No. 7) and Rice (No. 9) each finished 2-1 in the tournament, while Missouri and Texas Tech both finished with 0-3 marks.

In addition to their undefeated record, Houston also finished with three players on the all-tournament team.
