D-backs agree to terms with 23 Draft selections

PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks announced that they have agreed to terms with 23 of the 52 players selected in Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft this week, according to D-backs' Director, Scouting Ray Montgomery.

Among the players agreeing to contract terms are right-handed pitchers Evan Marshall (fourth round), Jesse Darrah (eighth round), Austin Platt (26th round), Matt Sample (28th round), Dexter Price (30th round), Ross Gerdeman (35th round), Seth Simmons (40th round), Alex Capaul (43rd round) and Raymond Hernandez (48th round), left-handed pitchers John Pedrotty (13th round), Taylor Siemens (18th round) and Elroy Urbina (37th round), infielders John Leonard (ninth round), Josh Parr (12th round), Daniel Pulfer (19th round), Jonathan Griffin (21st round), Garrett Weber (22nd round), Ryan Court (23rd round), Matt Jensen (31st round) and Derek Luciano (44th round), outfielders Kerry Jenkins (38th round) and Chris Ellison (39th round) and catcher Bryan Henry (36th round).
