Heart Health Awareness Night
American Heart Association
Wednesday, July 23 vs. Cubs 6:40 p.m.
The Arizona Diamondbacks, along with the American Heart Association, will host the inaugural Heart Health Awareness Night on Wednesday, July 23, at Chase Field.
Heart disease is the No. 1 killer in the United States. Physical inactivity doubles the risk of heart disease. The American Heart Association asks you to start walking and start reducing your risk. Walking has the lowest dropout rate of any physical activity, and is the simplest positive change individuals can make to effectively improve their heart health.
Many people don't realize, but heart disease is also the no. 1 killer of women in the United States. Join Go Red for Women, the American Heart Association's nationwide movement that celebrates the energy, passion and power we have to band together and wipe out heart disease.
The American Heart Association's Mission:
Build healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Their strategic impact goal is to reduce coronary heart disease, stroke, and risk by 25% by the year 2010.
On Heart Health Awareness Night, purchase a ticket in the American Heart Association Section for only $15 (normally $20)! Plus, five dollars from each ticket will benefit the American Heart Association, so that they may continue the fight against heart disease and stroke through research, education, and community outreach.
