Established in 1997, the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation focuses its efforts on three main areas of need: homelessness, indigent healthcare and children's programs of all types, including education and youth baseball field development. In 2007, the Diamondbacks Foundation raised $3.5 million that will go directly back to the Arizona community.

Diamondbacks Foundation Fundraisers
During the season, fans, players and staff are able to participate in a number of fundraising activities for these causes. Below are the main events benefiting the Diamondbacks Foundation.
Evening on the Diamond
This year’s star-studded event took place on the field at Chase Field and was filled with music, food and charity. Guests mingled and dined with Diamondbacks players, coaches and executives. The evening was highlighted by a silent and live auction along with a musical performance by The Phoenix Symphony and Kenny Loggins. The gala raised over $1.5 million for the Diamondbacks Foundation. This annual event will be held in the Spring of 2008.
Diamondbacks Foundation Broadcast Auctions
The Diamondbacks Foundation holds two telecast auctions during the season on NewsChannel 3, one to benefit the MDA and one to benefit the Diamondbacks Foundation. The auctions include such items as Diamondbacks autographed memorabilia, road trips to see the team play and exclusive opportunities with players and wives. The two auctions raise over $100,000 for the three charities annually. Read more »
Shirts Off Our D-Backs
Forty lucky fans walk away after the final regular season home game with an authentic Diamondbacks players' or coaches' jersey. With the purchase of $2 scratch-off cards, fans have the chance to win a jersey or a commemorative gift.
Diamondbacks Foundation Programs
In addition to the fundraisers above, fans can help raise money for the Diamondbacks Foundation through the following programs:
Charities Online Auction
The Diamondbacks Foundation Online Auction is a year-round auction on the Diamondbacks website. Items listed in the auction are updated every two weeks and include rare autographed merchandise and items used or worn during games.
Autographed Game Bats
Fans have the chance to purchase broken game bats from Diamondbacks players every game in the ballpark main Team Shop. Every bat is autographed and prices range depending on the player.
Line-Up Cards
Fans can bid on the starting line-up card for every home game. The card is autographed by Diamondbacks manager Bob Melvin and is a one-of-a-kind item. The bidding takes place in the Team Shop until the 7th inning, with the winning bid being announced before the end of the game.
Message Board
Wish someone a happy birthday or anniversary during a game and receive an 8x10 color photograph of your message as a keepsake. The Diamondbacks ask that a $100 donation per message be made to the Diamondbacks Foundation.
Chase Field Tours
Year-round tours are available to the general public, for both individuals and groups, with proceeds benefiting the Diamondbacks Foundation.
Grant Programs
The fundraisers listed above, along with other team-sponsored events, provide funds for many different programs in the areas that Diamondbacks Foundation supports. More information »
